Last night in Los Angeles, the 68th annual Grammy Awards took place, bringing together the top names in the music industry. The ceremony was memorable not only for its dazzling wins but also for some fashion missteps. Several stars took risks with outfits that sparked debate and a wave of criticism.
RBC-Ukraine fashion editor Kateryna Sobkova reports on the most fashionable fails on the red carpet.
Heidi Klum
The 52-year-old German supermodel and actress appeared at the Grammy 2026 in a daring latex dress that created a second-skin effect.
The edges of the dress, both at the top and bottom, looked roughly torn, as if cut from a single piece of material. The glossy shine of the latex emphasized the outfit’s futuristic vibe, a bold move even for a style icon like Klum.

PinkPantheress
Victoria Walker, known as PinkPantheress, chose a dress by Vivienne Westwood for the red carpet.
The dress features a complex color palette, combining blood-red, sandy, and muted gray tones. Its print resembles an abstract canvas or tie-dye technique with a blurred watercolor effect.

Rosé
New Zealand–South Korean singer Rosé from Blackpink wore a black mini dress with white draped details for the ceremony, pairing it with black pumps to match.
However, the skirt’s train adds an enormous volume around the hips, making it look disproportionate to the rest of the dress.

Zara Larsson
Swedish singer Zara Larsson opted for a tropical-inspired look by Germanier, which didn’t quite suit the red carpet.
She wore a two-piece ensemble fully embellished with sequins: an asymmetrical one-shoulder crop top and a low-rise long skirt.

Laufey
Icelandic-Chinese singer and songwriter Laufey appeared in a lilac Miu Miu dress adorned with fringe, crystals, and beads.
The heavy silver embellishments around the neckline and dense rows of beads appear somewhat overpowering on her delicate frame, creating a mismatch between the lightweight fabric and the weighty stones. Additionally, the dress has so many details that they come across as messy.

Doechii
American rapper Jaila Jaimie Hickmon, known as Doechii, wore a Roberto Cavalli dress. Her Grammy 2026 look became one of the most controversial due to the radical contrast between the top and bottom halves.
The sheer, rust-brown lace-up top creates a sharp dissonance with the heavy skirt. The exaggerated train made of dark purple satin features complex architecture with numerous ruffles, flounces, and gold accents. It overwhelms her figure, and the transition from the delicate top to the heavy satin feels too abrupt.

Kesha
Kesha appeared at the Grammy 2026 ceremony barefoot in a voluminous gown reminiscent of a snowdrift.
The top of the outfit features exaggerated volume around the shoulders, resembling a fluffy mantle or snow mound, which adds unnecessary bulk to the singer’s figure.

Lola Young
The most unusual look of the night came from 25-year-old English singer Lola Young, who took a radical departure from traditional evening fashion. Her style could be described as hypertrophied pajama grunge.
Lola appeared in an oversized hoodie and wide gray-olive pants, both adorned with childlike prints of ducklings, plush bears, mushrooms, and more.
Under the sporty hoodie, she wore a classic white shirt with a pointed collar and an orange-and-blue striped plaid tie. The combination of officewear and playful, childlike motifs creates a strong visual dissonance.
