Ukraine's government has made a decision regarding the direct funding of brigades, which is crucial, particularly for the rapid procurement of drones for Ukraine's Defense Forces, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal states.

According to Shmyhal, concerning the direct funding of brigades, the government decided that next year's funding will be no less than this year's.

"This is especially important for the quick purchase of drones, with over 1.5 million planned to be produced this year," Ukraine's Prime Minister noted.

Shmyhal also reminded that 100 billion hryvnias ($2,4 billion) will be allocated to the state budget for drone procurement next year.

Drone production in Ukraine

In recent years, Ukraine has begun producing drones. In particular, Ukraine exceeded its drone production plan in 2024.

In total, over 900 new models of weapons and military equipment were approved for use this year.

As for 2025, Ukraine plans to increase weapons production further. This includes drones and long-range weapons, particularly ballistic missiles.
