In the evening, the body of another child was recovered from the rubble in Odesa. As of now, 5 children have been identified as the victims of a drone attack on a high-rise building yesterday, March 2, reports the head of Odesa military administration Oleh Kiper.

"Another child who died was a girl named Zlata. She was 8 years old. Rescuers are now unblocking her and her brother Serhiy's bodies. This is an indescribable terrible grief for Odesa region and the whole of Ukraine," Kiper said.

Earlier today, rescuers found the body of Zlata's brother Serhiy.

Russian attack on Odesa

On the night of March 2, Russians attacked Odesa and the region with drones. After one o'clock in the morning, explosions were heard in the city, after which it became known that one of the enemy drones hit a high-rise building.

As of now, 12 people have been killed in the enemy attack, five of them children.

As reported by the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a military family with a 7-month-old daughter was killed in an enemy attack on Odesa.

In addition, today 3 people who were on the list of possible persons who may be under the rubble contacted rescuers. However, there may still be people under the rubble of the high-rise building.
