Famous Ukrainian designer Andre Tan has revealed the top wedding fashion trends 2025. In vogue this year are lightness, freedom, minimalism, and a touch of drama — from boho-chic and draping inspired by Greek goddesses to the updated mermaid silhouette and transparent tulle.
"A wedding dress in 2025 is not just about a 'classic gown.' It's about mood, style, and a way to be yourself on the most important day," the designer emphasized.
Boho-chic
Boho-chic is a fashion and interior design style that blends bohemian, ethnic, vintage, and hippie elements with a refined and elegant (chic) twist.
"Relaxed silhouettes, lace, ruffles, and woven details — this is what a wedding dress looks like for brides drawn to the bohemian aesthetic of the 1970s. Minimum corsets, maximum freedom," Tan noted.

Draping
Another element the designer recommends paying attention to is draping.
"Soft folds, flowing fabrics, and inspiration from Greek goddesses — draping has returned to wedding fashion in 2025. Long trains, high slits, multilayered skirts — a mix of classical style and modern drama," said Tan.

Minimalism
The designer also recommends minimalist dresses. These typically have clean lines, minimal decoration, and a silhouette that highlights the figure.
"Minimalist wedding dresses are for those who appreciate elegance and natural beauty. Such a dress is comfortable to move in and will definitely look stylish in photos even years later," Tan emphasized.

Mermaid silhouette
The mermaid silhouette is a dress style that fits closely to the body down to the knees or just below, then flares out dramatically at the bottom, resembling a mermaid's tail (hence the name). It remains a relevant choice year after year.
"It hugs the body, accentuates the figure, and flares like a flower bud at the bottom. In 2025, mermaid dresses become even lighter: sheer fabrics, weightless materials, and delicate details," said Tan.
