Germany confirmes delivery of Leopard-1 tanks to Ukraine

The German Ministry of Defense has confirmed the delivery of 25 Leopard-1 tanks and more military aid, according to DW.
On August 8, reports emerged regarding an "unnamed company" that has acquired 50 Leopard-1 tanks from OIP Land Systems, a company owned by Freddy Versluys. Versluys had purchased these tanks around 10 years ago during Belgium's cost optimization efforts within their Armed Forces.
Later it was revealed that the buyer was the Rheinmetall Group. They are the ones who have acquired the 50 Leopard-1 tanks, a portion of which is intended to be transferred to Ukraine.
According to sources, the German Ministry of Defense confirmed the transfer of military equipment to Ukraine, which includes:
- 25 Leopard 1 tanks;
- Five armored repair and evacuation vehicles;
- Two training tanks.
