Germany and allies create new coalition to help Ukraine: Details

To support Ukraine, a new coalition of capabilities was created to deal with electronic warfare. It includes Germany and 10 other countries, according to the German Ministry of Defense.
For example, a new development is the creation of another so-called coalition of capabilities related to electronic warfare.
This coalition complements the existing eight coalitions of capabilities. It was created by Germany and 10 partners to enhance Ukraine's capabilities in the following areas:
- ensuring its communications;
- reconnaissance and disruption of enemy communications;
- protection against drones;
- effectiveness of its own weapons systems.
“The knowledge gained will also be used in the further development of the Bundeswehr's capabilities,” the German Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry notes that electronic warfare skills are necessary to effectively protect the lives, infrastructure, and equipment of soldiers and civilians.
"Control of the electromagnetic spectrum is crucial for effective warfare in modern conditions. This is especially true for the use and protection of drones," the German military stated in a press release.
Germany's assistance to Ukraine
On April 11, the next Ramstein meeting is taking place in Brussels. The agenda includes strengthening Ukraine's air defense, new arms supplies, and the development of defense-industrial cooperation.
In particular, it is already known that during today's meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense, support for Kyiv of more than €21 billion ($23.85 billion) was announced.
For example, Germany will provide Ukraine with 4 IRIS-T air defense systems with missiles and another 30 missiles for Patriot systems. Estonia and the United Kingdom also announced a new aid package.
