The Russian occupiers began to have significant problems due to the successful operations of the Ukrainian troops on the left bank of the Kherson region. In particular, due to significant losses, they are forced to transfer units here from other directions, reports the spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Kovalov.

"The Russian occupiers have started having problems. As a result of heavy losses, they are forced to transfer units here from other directions," he says.
Also, according to Kovalov, the significant losses of the occupying forces are because the invaders are trying to knock out the Ukrainian soldiers from their occupied positions, from these bridgeheads.
"Almost every day, the enemy makes from 4 to 10 such attempts. The occupiers on the left bank of the Kherson region use the entire arsenal of weapons - from mortars to large-caliber artillery, rockets, weapons, and aviation. However, our soldiers act bravely and tactically competently, sometimes even defiantly," the spokesperson adds.
Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Kherson region
The General Staff confirmed that the units of the Armed Forces managed to knock out the Russians from their occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and gain a foothold there.
"We cannot disclose the details of the special operation carried out by our units. However, I would like to emphasize that the Defense Forces have a clear plan of action that they are following. The units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are currently carrying out sabotage, raiding, and reconnaissance operations," Kovalov adds.
In particular, Ukrainian soldiers identify the ways of logistical supply of ammunition and food, warehouses and accumulation of personnel, reconnaissance of the locations of the personnel and equipment of the Russian invaders, and artillery positions with the aim of their further destruction using destruction is carried out.
"One of the main goals of this combat operation is to push the enemy as far as possible from the right bank of the Dnipro River to protect the civilian population of the city of Kherson from constant Russian shelling," the spokesperson recalls, adding that despite the sufficiently serious line of fortifications of the Russian invaders on the left bank of the Dnipro River, the Ukrainian the soldiers managed to carry out several successful actions.
The situation in the Kherson region
On November 17, the Ukrainian military announced that it had conducted a series of successful operations on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, which has been occupied by Russia since February 2022. Due to the successes of the Ukrainian fighters, Russian troops immediately began shelling the left bank of the Kherson region along with the right bank. At the same time, the Russian invaders intensified the robbery of the local population in the temporarily occupied part of the region.
