General Staff refutes claims Russia seizes Dachne in Dnipropetrovsk region

The village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian troops have refuted yet another Russian disinformation claim, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Yesterday, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov claimed that the Russian army had supposedly occupied seven settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, including the village of Dachne.
However, the Ukrainian General Staff showed what the allegedly occupied village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region actually looks like.
In particular, Ukrainian soldiers of the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade recorded drone footage of troops in Dachne displaying the Ukrainian flag.
On the DeepState map, you can visually see the location of the village of Dachne.
Why Russia exaggerates its ‘successes’
Analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) analyzed Gerasimov’s report last night and explained why Russia exaggerates its achievements on the front.
Experts compared the numbers Gerasimov presented with the reality on the ground. They found that Russia deliberately inflates the figures, which do not reflect the true situation.
ISW concluded that the Kremlin uses false data to convince Western countries of an inevitable victory over Ukraine, although this is not the case.
A detailed analysis by the analysts and the figures they cited are available in our news article on the topic.
