In Moscow, an FSB counterintelligence officer, Vladimir Feshchenko, was found dead in the building of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Telegram channel BAZA and the media resource Meduza report.
According to Russian media, Feshchenko's body was discovered on the night of January 13 in a departmental building located at 25 Olkhovskaya Street. Various structures of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the FSB Directorate for the Moscow Military District are located there.
At the same time, BAZA claims that Feshchenko was allegedly a Russian champion in kettlebell lifting and an international master of sports but not an FSB officer.
According to Meduza, Feshchenko had a conflict with a friend with whom he had served in the Far East. The reports indicate that the suspect in the murder has already been detained, and he has confessed to the crime.
As reported earlier, on October 3, 2024, a fire broke out in the FSB's regional office building in the Russian city of Novosibirsk. A container with flammable liquid was thrown through a broken window into the premises, causing the fire.
