Frontline, arms production, and Mideast situation: Zelenskyy held Staff meeting
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, today, on October 12, held a lengthy meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, discussing the situation on the front lines and more, according to the country's leader statement.
Frontline situation
According to the president, he listened to reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the Commander of the Tavria Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
"The situation at the main fronts - eastern, southern. Defense of our positions. Our forward steps," the president reported.
Production of Ukrainian weapons
The second issue discussed at the meeting was Ukrainian arms and equipment production and the continuous growth of capacities.
"Minstrategprom has a clear task to propose a program to supply Ukrainian weapons for all key needs - from rockets and drones to armored vehicles and ammunition. There have already been reports on certain aspects of such a program. Good results. There will be more significant ones," the president added.
Zelenskyy says that he gave a specific assignment to Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on the maximum digitization of supplies for the defense forces.
"Full accountability and control are our priorities. Clear implementation deadlines are set," the head of Ukraine wrote.
The situation in the Middle East
The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, presented a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the Middle East.
The president notes that this analysis will be taken into account, and the state will also take care of the interests of its citizens in the region. Zelenskyy mentions that Ukraine is working with its partners to prevent broader destabilization.
Meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief
Zelenskyy last held a lengthy meeting on October 6, discussing the situation on the front lines, preparations for winter, and reports from military officials.
Prior to that, he had his first meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on September 26 after returning from a foreign trip.
