Countries in Europe are known for their high property prices. However, the cost per square meter varies significantly depending on the country or city. Foreign analysts have calculated that Eastern European cities dominate the ranking of cheapest property, according to Business Insider.

Bitola is the second-largest city in the Republic of North Macedonia. It is home to the ancient city of Heraclea Lyncestis, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site.
This historic landmark was named after the mythological hero Heracles and was founded by Philip II of Macedon after annexing the surrounding Lyncestidae region to his kingdom. It later gained strategic importance due to its location on the Via Egnatia. The city was abandoned after the Slavicization of Macedonia in the 6th century AD.
