French Foreign Minister reveals Trump’s position on Ukraine

During his visit to Kharkiv, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed that Donald Trump had given Putin an ultimatum for a ceasefire in Ukraine. According to the minister, this shows that Trump has chosen to support Ukraine and is ready to provide military assistance.
The French diplomat emphasizes that Trump had issued a tough ultimatum to Russia's Vladimir Putin. Trump demanded that Russia cease fire within 50 days under the threat of severe sanctions.
"I notice that President Trump has given Vladimir Putin a 50-day ultimatum for a ceasefire under the threat of very tough sanctions," Barrot says.
In addition, the minister notes that Donald Trump expressed his readiness to support Ukraine with military equipment. According to Barrot, this is the most convincing signal that Trump has changed course and is now actively supporting Ukraine.
"This is undoubtedly the most convincing sign that Donald Trump has chosen his side of the conflict and has decided to support Ukraine to achieve his main goal of establishing a lasting peace," the French minister adds.
The interview took place against the backdrop of the ongoing Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which is a matter of widespread international concern. Trump's statements, which have often provoked controversial reactions in the past, now take on a new meaning as the US president is now clearly demonstrating support for Kyiv in its fight
Thus, according to Jean-Noël Barrot, Donald Trump's position may affect further developments in the conflict and international policy toward Ukraine.
The minister also emphasizes the importance of unity and support for Ukraine by all allies to achieve peace in the region
