Two-thirds of the intelligence data that Ukrainian military personnel receive from Western partners comes from European countries, including France, states French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.
During a broadcast on France Inter, the French minister called on people not to succumb to the influence of Kremlin disinformation.
According to him, Russian propaganda is trying to undermine support for Ukraine.
Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized that they must not allow the propaganda of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to contaminate them.
He noted that the Kremlin and its trolls on social media are trying to "discourage" citizens of Ukraine and Europe from continuing the fight and providing support.
The head of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the war is being waged not only on the battlefield but also in people's minds.
Commenting on rumors about a possible cessation of support from Western allies, Barrot recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale war, there have been repeated predictions about the rapid fall of Ukraine or the US withdrawing aid.
"Europe has been providing Kyiv with 'core support' for a very long time," he emphasized.
Separately, the minister commented on the agreement between the administration of US President Donald Trump and Moscow regarding the supply of diesel fuel.
In his view, this fact does not indicate a strengthening of Russia, as hydrocarbon production in Russia is gradually declining due to strict European sanctions.
Earlier, the European Commission stated that it sees no signs of a halt in intelligence sharing between the US and Ukraine.
Previously, media reports emerged that US intelligence had allegedly threatened the Ukrainian embassy with stopping data transfer if attacks on Russian oil refineries continued.
So far, this threat has not been realized, but the risk remains.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is resuming strikes on Russian oil refineries.
According to him, the ban on such attacks was lifted against the backdrop of problems with intelligence data and disruptions in the operation of the Starlink system during massive shelling.
