Freedom of Russia Legion uses unmanned surface vessels against enemy troops

Volunteers from the Freedom of Russia Legion have used unmanned surface vessels to strike Russian forces for the first time. This is a new phase of anti-Putin resistance, according to Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR).
The volunteers, together with special forces from HUR's FERRATA active operations unit, opened a new front in the fight against the Russian regime and carried out an operation on the water.
The intelligence service noted that Russian volunteers used unmanned surface vessels to attack the Russian army for the first time, calling it a historic step and the beginning of a new chapter in anti-Putin resistance.
"Clear coordination, precise reconnaissance, and innovative approaches allow our intelligence operatives to act successfully against the enemy at a significant distance from the shore. But this is just the beginning. Ahead are new stages, deeper raids, and expanded fronts of resistance. The regime will have nowhere to hide," HUR emphasized.
Sea drones in Ukraine
Previously, Ukraine created an unmanned surface vessel capable of carrying multiple fiber-optic drones in retractable compartments on its hull, with no equivalent in the world.
In May, HUR soldiers destroyed two Russian Su-30 jets in the Black Sea using sea drones for the first time in history. According to HUR head Kyrylo Budanov, new Magura V7 drones equipped with AIM-9 Sidewinder infrared-guided air-to-air missiles were used.
Later, the first photos of the Magura V7 sea drones with AIM-9 Sidewinder systems were shared online.
