France to deliver up to 20 modernized Mirage jets to Ukraine, media says
France plans to provide Ukraine with up to 20 Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets. Deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2025, reports Avions Legendaires.
The planes are currently in industrial production to make them more versatile.
“According to our various sources, 12 to 20 Mirage 2000-5F fighters will be delivered by France to Ukraine next year. The Minister of the Armed Forces has scheduled the first quarter, i.e. between January 1 and March 30, 2025,” the article adds.
Mirage 2000-5F will be transformed from fighters specializing in patrolling the skies into multi-role aircraft for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fighters will also be repainted in Ukrainian colors.
Another major change will be the ability to carry and fire the SCALP-EG cruise missile, which is already in service with the Ukrainian forces.
Mirage 2000-5F
