France summons DPRK representative over sending troops to Russia - Foreign Ministry
France summoned a representative of North Korea last month in response to the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia, according to French Foreign Ministry spokesperson Christophe Lemoine.
Lemoine said that on October 28, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned North Korea's diplomatic representative to protest North Korea's support for Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
He also declared that Paris is prepared to "respond decisively in coordination with our partners" to North Korea’s actions.
"We made it clear that such support will not go unanswered," the spokesperson added.
North Korea sends troops to fight against Ukraine
It was recently revealed that North Korea has sent its military personnel to support Russia in its war against Ukraine. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin commented that these actions are part of a "strategic partnership" between Russia and North Korea.
Additionally, the head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, indicated that North Korean troops could engage in combat against Ukraine as early as November this year.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reported that the United States has documented the presence of approximately 8,000 North Korean troops in Russia’s Kursk region.
