Former Brazil president Bolsonaro diagnosed with early stage skin cancer

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been diagnosed with early-stage skin cancer, Reuters reports.
At the Brazilian DF Star hospital, it was reported that Jair Bolsonaro was discharged after being hospitalized the previous day due to vomiting, dizziness, and low blood pressure.
The medical facility emphasized that his condition has improved, but further monitoring is required. Tests also showed the presence of squamous cell skin cancer, which will require regular health monitoring of the former president.
"The tests showed that two of the lesions were an early type of skin cancer. This has already been treated through removal, but regular monitoring is required to ensure no new lesions appear and that the removals were complete," the hospital clarified.
Sentence for Bolsonaro
Last week, the Supreme Court of Brazil sentenced former President Jair Bolsonaro to 27 years in prison.
He was found guilty of attempting to overturn the results of the 2022 presidential election and attempting to assassinate President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The 70-year-old Bolsonaro, along with other defendants, denied all charges and called the trial a politically motivated persecution.
