'Food is not a weapon,' addresses Josep Borrell to Russians
Russia risks millions of people as it uses food as its weapon, according to the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, on Twitter.
He reminded that Russia is destroying Ukrainian grain storage facilities and port infrastructure through daily targeted attacks.
Russia’s continued weaponisation of food and the termination of the BSGI is affecting global food security, putting millions of people at risk. Food is not a weapon," wrote Borrell.
Attacks by Russian occupiers
As a reminder, Russian occupiers intensified their shelling of Ukrainian territory early last week. Southern regions are predominantly under enemy fire.
Russians, in particular, are targeting the country's port infrastructure. Their strikes have already caused damage to ports in the Odesa region, hitting grain storage facilities.
The latest attack by the occupiers occurred on July 24, during the night. They launched "Shahed" kamikaze drones at the "Reni" port, located on the Danube River.
