First wartime FAB-500 bomb strike on Kharkiv: Video of aftermath
Today, on June 27, Russian forces struck Kharkiv for the first time with a FAB-500 bomb. Law enforcement officers showed a video of the consequences, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The video shows a bomb hitting a building in the country part of the town.
The Russian strike, as seen in the video, damaged civilian property.
What preceded it
Today, on June 27, at about 04:00 p.m., Russian forces launched an air strike on Kharkiv from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. The attack targeted the Kyiv district.
Four people were injured in the Russian shelling, three private houses and the buildings of a university and the State Emergency Service were damaged.
The head of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, Oleksandr Filchakov, noted that it was the first time that Russians had attacked the city with a FAB-500 bomb with a planning and correction module.
