Drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have struck the fuel depot at Sochi Airport. The attack caused a large-scale fire at the site, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

Yesterday, UAV systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, operating in close coordination with other branches of the Ukrainian military, hit the fuel depot of Sochi Airport, located in Russia's Krasnodar Krai. A major fire broke out at the facility.

According to available information, the Russian army aviation was also stationed at the airfield, further underscoring the strategic importance of the site for the enemy.

This operation is part of a broader set of actions by Ukraine's Defense Forces aimed at stopping Russia's armed aggression and destroying key enemy military and logistical hubs.

The Armed Forces emphasize that such strikes weaken Russia's ability to wage war and bring Ukraine's victory closer.

Details of the operation and its consequences will be reported later.

Operation Spiderweb: SBU strikes Russian aviation

On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) launched a large-scale operation called Spiderweb, aimed at disabling Russian military aviation.

The operation was personally coordinated by SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk. Reports indicate that more than 40 enemy aircraft became inoperable.

Significantly, for the first time, Ukrainian drones attacked Russian territory deep in Siberia. In particular, around 10 explosions were recorded at the Dyagilevo airbase.
