Finland is currently exploring the possibility of manufacturing armored vehicles in Ukraine. In practice, this could mean, for example, the licensed production of Patria armored vehicles in Ukraine. Previously, Patria had a similar agreement with Poland.
"We are certainly evaluating all the possibilities through which we can support Ukraine," stated Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen at a press conference.
The head of foreign affairs further noted that Finland was interested in promoting the defense industry in Europe.
According to Minister of Defense Antti Häkkänen, Ukraine is interested in the experience of Finnish defense companies.
"I believe we have opportunities for cooperation," Häkkänen expressed confidently.
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated the previous day that Ukraine was interested in the production of Finnish armored vehicles.
During a visit to Kyiv, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo announced that the 18th aid package would be delivered to Ukraine.

Finland has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression.
In early July, Finland announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine, including anti-aircraft weaponry.
