Fighting for every building: Ukraine's military tells about situation in Toretsk

Fierce battles are ongoing in the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region, between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The fighting continues for every building entrance and floor, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Anastasia Bobovnikova, Spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group (OTG).
According to Bobovnikova, the situation on the front is so intense that it is currently impossible to clearly determine which parts of the city are under Ukrainian control and which are held by the enemy.
"The fighting continues literally for every entrance, for every floor," she said.
A spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy.
Bobovnikova also reported that Russia is suffering significant personnel losses.
"Even for minimal advances, they (Russians - ed.) pay a huge price with their manpower," she stated.
Furthermore, a spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group noted that the Russian army loses up to 100 soldiers daily in Toretsk.
Situation in Toretsk
The situation on this front remains extremely difficult. Urban battles are ongoing, and the frontline is constantly shifting.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Ukraine's Defense Forces successfully destroy Russian military equipment, including tanks and infantry fighting vehicles used in the enemy's offensive. However, the Russian army continues its attempts to encircle the city.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Defense Forces maintain their positions, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
Earlier, the Azov Brigade reported that Ukrainian troops continue to neutralize enemy positions along the Toretsk axis and eliminate Russian military personnel.
