At present, investigators only have footage from security cameras, FBI Director Kash Patel noted.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the killer was dressed in dark clothing and likely fired from a rooftop.

Attempted assassination of Charlie Kirk

Charles (Charlie) James Kirk was a well-known American conservative activist, publicist, and media personality.

He repeatedly criticized US military aid to Ukraine and accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of being unwilling to end the war with Russia.

Kirk hosted the conservative The Charlie Kirk Show and was closely connected to Donald Trump’s political circle.

On Wednesday, September 10, Kirk was speaking at a debate at Utah Valley University when, about 20 minutes into his speech, a gunshot was fired. The wounded activist was taken to a hospital.

Later, President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death.
