Other attacks in Russia

On the same night, residents in Volgograd also reported explosions, while unidentified drones targeted the city of Saratov. Following a series of blasts in Saratov, a fire broke out in the city, with local channels speculating that the blaze may have hit the oil refinery.

Strike at Novokuybyshevsk refinery

This was not the first drone strike on the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery. For example, the facility came under attack on the night of March 10.

The Novokuybyshevsk refinery is the most powerful oil processing plant within Rosneft’s Samara group, with a design capacity exceeding 8.8 million tons of crude oil per year.
