Explosions reported in Khmelnytskyi region amid missile threat

On the morning of August 4, explosions sounded in the Khmelnytskyi region amid a large-scale air raid alert due to a missile threat, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"Kinzhal (Russian missile - ed.) headed toward Khmelnychchyna," the Ukrainian military reported.
According to the Air Force, a high-speed aerial target was detected moving in the direction of Starokostiantyniv.
Earlier, reports emerged of a Russian MiG-31K fighter jet taking off - an aircraft capable of carrying Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
Local Telegram channels reported powerful explosions.
On July 5, Russian forces launched two Kinzhal missiles at Ukraine. Both were aimed at Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region.
The Russians frequently attempt to strike this city because it is home to Ukraine's top airbase.
At night, the enemy attacks Starokostiantyniv with drones, and sometimes launches missiles at it, including Kinzhal missiles, cruise missiles, or ballistic ones. However, all Russian attempts have been unsuccessful.
