Explosions reported in Kazan and near Ryazan: Russians complain of drone attacks
In Russia, a series of explosions occurred on the outskirts of Ryazan and Kazan. Due to an attack by strike UAVs, air defense systems are active over the cities, RBC-Ukraine reports, with reference to Russian Telegram channels and public sources.
According to eyewitnesses, at about 2 a.m., three loud explosions were heard on the outskirts of Ryazan with an interval of approximately 10–15 minutes.
The Telegram channel Shot writes that eyewitnesses recorded bright flashes over the city. Preliminary reports suggest that the air defense system was working on drones. Residents of the villages of Mushkovatovo and Sekiyotovo also reported these loud sounds.
The Telegram channel Baza notes that residents of the Ryazan region are reporting the sounds of explosions. Preliminary information indicates a drone attack. The air defense system is active.
Currently, there is no official information about casualties or damage.
Industrial plants attacked in Kazan
Meanwhile, explosions were also reported in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan.
The Telegram channel VChK-OGPU reports a UAV attack on aviation and helicopter manufacturing plants. Explosions can be heard, and the air defense system is in operation.

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reports that one of the drones' targets may have been JSC "KAPO-Composite."
The enterprise is part of the United Aircraft Corporation and specializes in producing composite materials for the aviation industry.
In particular, it manufactures components and assemblies such as wing mechanization and tail elements using autoclave molding.
Drone attacks on Russia
On the night of January 14, strike drones attacked 12 regions of Russia. Industrial plants, an oil depot, and air defense systems were hit in several cities.
In particular, UAVs attacked the Orgsintez Kazan plant, where a large-scale fire broke out near the facility.
The Center for Countering Disinformation reported that the cause of drones hitting buildings in Kazan on December 21 was Russian air defense or electronic warfare systems.
