Explosions were heard near the local airport in the area of Amritsar, an Indian city. It may have been a missile attack by the Pakistani army, according to the Clash Report.

Footage has surfaced online showing explosions in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The video also captures rockets soaring through the night sky.

According to the Clash Report, Indian media cites testimonies from Amritsar residents about a series of loud explosions. These reportedly occurred near the Amritsar airport.

Clash Report also references Indian media reports stating that the Amritsar district administration has begun the process of cutting off electricity.

Earlier, on April 7, Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, in an interview with Al Jazeera, claimed that India had allegedly carried out strikes on civilians on Tuesday. Additionally, the Pakistani official stated that any actions by New Delhi aimed at stopping or redirecting water supplies from Pakistan would be considered by Islamabad as an official declaration of war.
