A series of explosions occurred in Khmelnytsky during an air raid alert last night, October 16, accordomg to Suspilne.
Official sources have not yet reported on the causes and consequences of the explosions. Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that Shahed-type kamikaze drones were moving towards the region.
Residents of the region were urged to stay in shelters or use the "two walls" rule until the air raid is over.
Air defense activated in Khmelnytskyi
Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn thanked the air defense forces for their work and protection of the city.
Night attack on October 16
On the night of October 16, Russian forces launched a combined attack using attack drones and missiles in several regions of Ukraine.
During the alert, the sounds of explosions were reported in Dnipro, the Kirovohrad and Poltava regions.
