Explosions hit Ivano-Frankivsk and region

In the morning of May 15, a series of explosions were heard in Ivano-Frankivsk and the surrounding region. The area is under attack by drones, according to Suspilne Novyny and the city mayor, Ruslan Martsinkiv.
At around 05:29 AM Kyiv time, explosions were heard in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. At the same time, the city mayor reported that air defense forces were active in the Ivano-Frankivsk community. A few minutes later, it became clear that the explosions occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk city.
Earlier, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Shahed drones had been detected in the region, moving westward.
"It may be loud. The alert is ongoing," Martsinkiv added at 05:43 AM Kyiv time.
"Thanks to the air defense! Civilian infrastructure was not damaged! No casualties reported so far," the city mayor wrote at 06:20 AM Kyiv time.
Air raid alerts
As of 05:45 AM Kyiv time, the air raid alert map looks like this. The signal is mostly active in western Ukraine. Specifically, alerts continue in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Sumy, and Donetsk regions.
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine
Since the evening of May 13 to the night of May 14, Russia launched 145 Shahed strike drones at Ukraine.
As of 09:00 AM Kyiv time, Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 80 Russian drones, while 42 drone imitators were lost locally without damage.
However, several regions were still affected by the attacks, including Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad regions.
