On the morning of Monday, February 19, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Makiivka (Donetsk region). Russian invaders' oil depot was reportedly struck, according to Donbas News, and social media.

"A column of smoke rose in occupied Makiivka after the explosions. Before that, residents heard the work of the Russian air defense system," Donbas News writes.

According to the network, judging by the thick black smoke, an oil depot was hit.

"After the explosions, the Chervonogvardeyskyi district of Makiivka was partially de-energized," the journalists note.

Videos of the strikes have already been posted on social media.

Explosions in Makiivka

Makiivka was occupied by Russian troops in 2014. During this time, explosions have been heard in the city more than once. In December 2023, an explosion occurred in Makiivka, which was followed by a large fire.

On the night of January 1, 2023, as a result of a strike on the Russian occupiers' concentration in Makiivka, Donetsk region, the Russian Federation suffered significant losses when hundreds of mobilized people were killed and the same number were injured.
