In the morning of May 15, several explosions were heard in Lutsk. Currently, the Volyn region is under drone attack, according to our correspondent and the channel of Lutsk mayor Ihor Polishchuk.

"Explosions in Lutsk! Please stay in shelters," the city mayor wrote at 06:01 AM Kyiv time.

A bit later, the Ukrainian Air Forces warned that a Shahed drone was detected near the border of Volyn and Rivne regions, moving westward.

Additionally, at 06:12 AM Kyiv time, Polishchuk reported that another drone was approaching the city (most likely the one mentioned by the military).

Attack on western Ukraine

This morning, the western part of Ukraine was predominantly targeted by the Russian strike drones.

Analyzing the alert map shows the signals spreading from east to west. In Kyiv, an air raid alert was announced during the night, but apparently, the city itself was not attacked. Monitoring channels suggested that the drones were likely transiting through.

Notably, this morning, explosions were heard not only in Lutsk but also in Ivano-Frankivsk and the surrounding region. Later, Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv confirmed there were no damages or casualties as a result of the attack.
