Explosion in Mykolaiv after high-speed target alert

On June 29, explosions were heard in Mykolaiv during an air raid alert. A high-speed target was heading toward the city, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

An air raid alert was declared in Mykolaiv at 12:15 AM Kyiv time. At 1:31 AM Kyiv time, the Air Force reported a high-speed target heading toward the city from the south. Two minutes later, another aerial target was detected.
Explosions in the city were heard at 1:32 and 1:35 AM Kyiv time, confirmed by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

Russian forces launched drones in the evening of June 28. An air raid alert was declared across nearly all regions. By midnight, alerts had been issued in Rivne and Khmelnytskyi regions as well.
The Air Force warned of potential missile strikes on Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Sumy, and other cities.
Later, Ukrainians were alerted that amid the drone attack, Russia had launched Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
