Evening Shahed attack: Air Force reports shooting down all Russian drones
The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces successfully destroyed all Russian kamikaze drones that the enemy launched during the attack from Friday evening to midnight on Saturday. The occupiers used 9 Shahed drones for the strike, according to the command of the Ukrainian Air Forces.
"From 18:00 on December 22 until midnight on December 23, 2023, Russian occupiers launched attacks with Shahed drones from the areas of Balaklava - Crimea, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia," military sources reported.
The Air Forces clarified that the enemy drones were shot down within the borders of the Odesa and Khmelnytskyi regions.
"All 9 Shaheds have been destroyed by the efforts and means of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine within the borders of the Odesa and Khmelnytskyi regions," the statement said.
Evening drone attack on December 22
On the evening of December 22, the Russians once again launched drones over Ukraine, detected over the Black Sea waters. In the Air Forces, it was reported that enemy drones were observed in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region.
Several groups of Shaheds were also observed flying from the Black Sea towards Koblevo in the Mykolaiv region and in the direction of the Tatarbunary district in the Odesa region.
Later, the Odesa Regional State Administration (RSA) stated that the drone attack had caused damage to the region's infrastructure, but there were no reported casualties or injuries.
