Still from Euphoria season 3
In the trailer for the third season of Euphoria, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi give fans their first look at their characters in the continuation of Sam Levinson’s hit drama. Viewers can expect an adult life full of drama, danger, and unexpected twists.
RBC-Ukraine reports on what to expect from the third season of Euphoria.
What the season 3 trailer revealed
The second season finale ended with Lexi’s school play, where she tried to reach her sister, the arrest of Cal Jacobs following the exposure of his crimes, and the conclusion of Jules and Rue’s relationship, as Rue chose sobriety.
Season 3 picks up five years later, showing the characters’ lives beyond high school. New footage hints that the story will be even darker and more intense.
Rue will have to repay a debt to drug dealer Lori, while Cassie and Nate live in the suburbs and plan to get married, despite clashing over her rather questionable job.
According to showrunner Sam Levinson, Jules is attending art school, and Maddy works at a Hollywood talent agency.
The new season of Euphoria premieres on April 12.
Cast
The main cast of the series returns for season 3: Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demi, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo, and Dominic Fike.
New additions to the season include Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, and several other well-known actors. Meanwhile, Barbara Ferreira, Storm Reid, Javon Walton, and Austin Abrams will not appear in the continuation.
In July 2023, the Euphoria cast faced tragedy when Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, passed away at the age of 25. It was later revealed that his death was caused by a drug overdose. The actor had struggled with mental health issues, which worsened after his father’s death.
Filming for season 3 of Euphoria began in February 2025, although the second season finale aired back in late February 2022. The long break between seasons was due to the 2023 writers’ strike, the busy schedules of the main cast, and the extended process of developing the new script.
