Even after Euphoria came to an end, HBO has decided to take fans back into the world of the hit series one more time. Two months after the finale, a special retrospective dedicated to the making of the show and its cast will premiere, according to HBO Max.

What the special will feature

The special is titled Euphoria: Looking Back and is set to premiere on July 24 on HBO Max.

This is not a new episode or a continuation of the story. Instead, viewers will get an inside look at how the series was made, from its debut in 2019 to its conclusion.

The special will feature archival interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes footage, and never-before-seen moments from the set.

Fans will see young Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi at the beginning of their Euphoria journey. The retrospective will also include interviews with Hunter Schafer and Angus Cloud. Some of the footage was filmed before Euphoria became one of HBO's biggest breakout hits.

The documentary will also highlight how both the cast and the series evolved over the years. It will include behind-the-scenes moments, team celebrations, and emotional footage from the final stages of production.

How Euphoria changed the careers of its stars

Over the years, the series became a true launchpad for its young cast. After the success of Euphoria, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi landed major roles in Hollywood films and high-profile advertising campaigns.

Zendaya went on to star in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and will also return to the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Sydney Sweeney has continued building a successful film career while becoming the face of major global advertising campaigns. Jacob Elordi, meanwhile, stars alongside Margot Robbie in the upcoming film Wuthering Heights.

The third season of Euphoria concluded on May 31, 2026. The final episode ran for approximately 93 minutes, bringing Rue Bennett's story, portrayed by Zendaya, to a close.

Series creator Sam Levinson also confirmed that the third season was the show's final chapter.

Now, HBO is saying goodbye to the acclaimed series one last time.

Euphoria: Looking Back will serve as an epilogue, giving fans the chance to revisit the show's journey from its earliest days on set to its emotional finale.
