The EU summit agreed to speed up the delivery of military aid to Ukraine amid Russia's massive attacks. This includes artillery ammunition and missiles, according to the summit's conclusions published on the European Council's website.

The European Council condemned Russia's ongoing air and missile attacks against civilians and civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, including the recent shelling of the energy sector.

"The European Union and its Member States will intensify the provision of humanitarian and civil protection assistance, including equipment such as power generators and power transformers," the statement says.

The EU Council also supported increased efforts to provide Ukraine with the necessary military assistance, including air defense equipment.
