The European Union today, on September 8th, imposed additional sanctions against Russian citizens. Collaborators in Russian-occupied Crimea have fallen under the restrictions, according to EUR-Lex.

The EU imposed sanctions against individuals involved in human rights violations.

The list of sanctioned includes:

  • Elena Viktorivna Podolnaya - Deputy Prosecutor at the "Simferopol District Court" in Crimea;
  • Denis Vladimirovich Korovin - Officer of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB);
  • Dliaver Memetovich Berberov - Judge at the "Simferopol District Court" in Crimea;
  • Vitaliy Olegovich Vlasov - Investigator at the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB);
  • Viktor Viktorovich Krapko - Judge of the "Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea";
  • Anastasia Ivanovna Supryaga - Prosecutor in the "Prosecutor's Office of Crimea."

These individuals are involved in the illegal criminal persecution of Vladyslav Yesypenko. According to the EU, he criticized the regime of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

He was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Persecution in Crimea

Recently, it was reported that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russians are intensifying "counter-diversionary measures" aimed at the disloyal population.

At the end of August, Russian occupiers conducted large-scale searches in Bakhchysarai and the Bakhchysarai district of occupied Crimea. Russians searched the homes of Crimean Tatars.
