EU's Kallas warns Putin: Ukraine war is not winnable

Vladimir Putin has zero interest in peace, and he is intensifying attacks against Ukraine. But Russia will not be able to win the war, the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, stated during her speech in the European Parliament.
"Russia has not broken Ukraine’s resolve. It is not breaking ours either," she said.
Kallas reminded that on the weekend, Russia carried out the largest-scale air attack on Ukraine.
"Putin has zero interest in peace, and he will not stop the war until he’s forced to," she said.
Kallas stated that the message to Russia remains clear: it will not be able to win the war. According to her, Moscow should leave the battlefield and start negotiations with Ukraine. She also emphasized that after the establishment of peace, it is impossible to allow a new rearmament of Russia.
Kallas announced the preparation of the 19th package of sanctions against Russia and emphasized the large-scale support of Ukraine from the EU, the total amount of which, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of 2022, has exceeded 169 billion euros. At the same time, the military aid to Kyiv reached 63 billion euros.
According to her, the EU has fulfilled 80% of the target indicator of 2 million shells and we are striving for 100% by October.
Earlier, Kallas stated that US President Donald Trump is "very patient" toward Vladimir Putin.
Kallas also stated that in the 19th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, several options are being considered.
