Estonian court punishes spy who fed Russia military data for years

The Harju County Court found Estonian-Russian citizen Edgar Mukhanov guilty of spying for Russia. He was sentenced to six years in prison, according to Delfi.
What is known about the case
According to the Estonian Prosecutor's Office, Mukhanov collected information about military facilities and Estonia's defense capabilities for Russia's military intelligence agency, the GRU.
The court found that the man passed information to the Russian side that could be of interest to Russian intelligence services.
Mukhanov holds dual Estonian and Russian citizenship. He was found guilty of activities on behalf of a foreign state and sentenced to six years in prison.

In recent years, Estonian law enforcement authorities have repeatedly reported uncovering people suspected of cooperating with Russian intelligence services.
The Mukhanov case involves collecting military information for the Russian GRU and passing it to the Russian side.
