Estonia has nominated a candidate for the position of head of government. The previous Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas, will head European diplomacy, replacing Josep Borrell, according to ERR.

The Estonian Reform Party unanimously decided to nominate Kristen Michal as a candidate for the position of Prime Minister, replacing Kallas. Michal previously headed the Ministry of Climate. He stated that the safety of Estonian citizens is his priority.

The party leadership also agreed on the composition of the delegation for coalition negotiations, which will include Kristen Michal, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, members of parliament, the Minister of Social Protection, the mayor of Tartu, and the head of the Prime Minister's office.

"The sooner we reach clarity on the issue of updating the coalition agreement, the better it will be for Estonia," Kristen Michal said.
