Erdoğan announced his readiness to host Zelenskyy and Putin for negotiations

Türkiye is ready to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin if they are willing to engage in direct talks. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made this statement during negotiations with Zelenskyy, according to the Turkish leader's office on social media platform X.
As noted by Erdoğan's office, he discussed bilateral and regional issues with Zelenskyy, including the cessation of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
During the meeting, the Turkish President emphasized that at the current stage, the course of the Russia-Ukraine war requires resolution through direct negotiations. He stressed that reaching an agreement on minimal common ground is of critical importance.
Erdoğan pointed out that a historic opportunity for initiating negotiations has now emerged, and he emphasized his firm support for talks both at the technical level and at the level of national leaders.
"The head of state stressed the importance of keeping dialogue channels open between Ukraine and Russia to ensure the swiftest possible establishment of peace, and expressed his readiness to host the leaders of both countries when they are ready," the presidential office clarified.
