The war between Russia and Ukraine cannot be ended at this point. Hostilities will continue, according to a statement by Ukrainian Presidential Office head Kyrylo Budanov in an interview broadcast on the national telethon.
War against Russia will continue
Budanov noted that, in his view, Ukraine cannot stop the war against Russia at this point.
"Not because we don't want to, it's simply unrealistic right now," he said.
He added that the war against Russia, unfortunately, will not end this winter, from 2026 to 2027.
Budanov on mobilization
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Budanov commented on mobilization in Ukraine.
He believes that Ukraine cannot mobilize fewer than 30,000 people a month – this is the minimum number needed to maintain the current situation on the front.
It was also reported that Budanov questioned the logic of calls to mobilize women in Ukraine given the current situation with men of conscription age.
In addition, Budanov said a major prisoner exchange with Russia will take place in the coming days. Preparations are currently underway.
