Elon Musk's Tesla sues its Indian namesake

The American car company Tesla has filed a lawsuit against its Indian namesake for copying its trademark, reports Reuters.
American billionaire Elon Musk's car company Tesla has filed a lawsuit against an Indian battery manufacturer. The lawsuit alleged trademark infringement by using the Tesla Power brand to promote its products.
Musk's company is seeking damages and a permanent injunction from its Indian namesake.
At a hearing in a New Delhi court this week, Tesla said that the Indian company continued to advertise its products under the Tesla Power brand, despite a cease-and-desist notice sent in April 2022.
Earlier, it was reported that the American company Tesla would recall almost 4 thousand Cybertrucks due to a technical malfunction.
