Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with more than a hundred strike drones. Most enemy targets were shot down by air defense forces, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“On the night of March 19, the enemy attacked with 133 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drone types from the directions of Oryol, Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. About 70 of them were Shaheds,” the Air Force said.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 am Kyiv time, air defense shot down 109 Russian UAVs in the north, south, west, and east of the country.

Hits by 20 strike UAVs were also recorded at 11 locations. Debris from downed drones fell at 7 locations.

Attack on Ukraine on the night of March 19

Russian troops attacked several regions of Ukraine overnight using strike drones.

Russia carried out a massive drone attack on Odesa. More than a dozen buildings, a dormitory of one of the universities, were damaged, while three people were injured.

Late last evening, the Russian troops attacked Lviv with drones. The main office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region was hit. Novovolynsk in the Volyn region was also under attack.
