The Nikolskaya linear production and dispatch station, located near Michurinsk in the Tambov region, came under attack on the night of October 20. A fire broke out at the facility, according to OSINT channels.

The Nikolskaya LPDS is a major facility in Russia’s oil pipeline infrastructure that handles the reception, storage, and pumping of fuel through pipelines.

Locals are reporting on public social media channels that the station came under fire during the attack on the region, and that a diesel fuel tank allegedly caught fire.

It is still unclear whether the attack was carried out using drones or missiles, as no information has yet been released by official sources, including the social media channel of the region’s governor, Yevgeny Pervyshov.

Footage filmed near the facility shows large flames and thick black smoke billowing high into the sky.

The Nikolskaya oil pumping station has come under attack more than once. For example, in August this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces confirmed a strike.

Ukrainian drones have also previously struck other Russian fuel storage facilities in the Tambov region and the Republic of Adygea.
