Drones strike one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Nizhnekamsk

On the night of August 20, drones attacked the TANECO oil refinery in the Russian city of Nizhnekamsk. According to preliminary data, 12 people were killed in the strike, according to OSINT channels.
What is known about the attack on Nizhnekamsk
Footage of the moment of impact on the oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk has appeared online, as well as video of the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system attempting to repel the attack.
According to preliminary data, at least 12 people died at the TANECO refinery — according to the monitoring channel, as in previous similar attacks, there may be foreign specialists among the dead.
Strikes on other facilities as well
That same night, drones attacked several other facilities on Russian territory — including the Taman-Nafta oil terminal in Krasnodar Krai and the Taman substation with a voltage of 500 kV.

Ukrainian strikes on oil refining and military facilities in Russia have become increasingly tangible in recent days.
The Main Intelligence Directorate stated that Ukrainian strikes on Russia are now the second most concerning issue for Russians — the attacks are causing damage to the country's economy and disrupting military logistics in the occupied territories.
That same day, Russian media acknowledged two absolute records by Ukraine during the attack on Russia — in a single day, the Defense Forces struck Russia with a record number of strike drones.
