Drones breach Belgorod dam, putting four Russian brigades at risk

At night, drones attacked the Belgorod dam, damaging the structure and causing a sharp rise in the water level of the Siverskyi Donets River. As a result of flooding, Russian military units in the Vovchansk sector found themselves underwater, reports NEXTA Live.
During the night, drones attacked the dam of the Belgorod Reservoir, and the attacks continued throughout the day.
By morning, the water level had dropped by more than a meter; the dam sustained serious damage and began to unleash a strong flow of water.
In the area of the village of Grafovka and downstream along the Siverskyi Donets, trenches with Russian soldiers were flooded. Units of the 128th, 116th, 68th, and 136th brigades of the Russian armed forces operating in the Vovchansk sector were put at risk.
Local authorities confirmed flooding in 10 areas of the Shebekino district and announced an evacuation of residents.
According to preliminary data, the strike on the dam effectively cut off part of the Russian forces from supplies and crossings, complicating their combat operations in the area.
Situation at the front
According to the General Staff, the situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area and in the Ocherytne sector of the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult.
The enemy outnumbers Ukrainian forces and is increasing offensive efforts; however, this did not prevent Ukrainian troops from liberating nine settlements.
A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group penetrated the center of Pokrovsk recently and carried out an attack that killed civilians. Ukrainian defenders quickly located the saboteurs and eliminated them inside the railway station building.
The General Staff explains that an intensive defensive operation continues in this direction. Despite enormous losses, the enemy continues attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses.
