A number of Ukrainian cities occupied by Russia came under drone attack overnight on August 1. Fires were reported in several locations, according to OSINT channel on Telegram.

According to the channels, drones attacked the city of Zuhres in Donetsk region overnight. The strikes reportedly hit the Zuivska Thermal Power Plant, where a fire was subsequently observed at the energy facility.

Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia region was also targeted by drones. According to reports, energy facilities were hit, leaving part of the city without electricity. There were also reports that a gas station may have caught fire.

According to information from local channels, Luhansk, Dolzhansk in Luhansk region, and Sevastopol in Crimea were also targeted. Fires were reported in all of these cities following the attacks, but it is not yet known what exactly was hit.

What else you need to know

On July 31, a temporary restriction on electricity supplies was introduced across Crimea. The occupation authorities warned residents of the threat of a large-scale outage.

We also reported that, according to the partisan movement Atesh, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin plans to remove Crimea's occupation-appointed head, Sergei Aksyonov, from his post. He is reportedly expected to be made responsible for the potential humanitarian disaster.
