Russian Shahed strike drones attacked Kharkiv, causing a large fire in the city, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.

According to Terekhov, the initial strike occurred, preliminarily, in the Kyivskyi district of the city.

At 1:43 a.m. Kyiv time, the mayor reported four explosions in Kharkiv.

“As a result, a large fire broke out. Enemy combat drones are still in the air near the city. Please stay alert!” he said.

According to Syniehubov, the occupiers struck the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with three Shahed drones.

A fourth enemy strike was also recorded in the Kyivskyi district.

Information about damage and casualties is still being confirmed.

Syniehubov reported three more enemy strikes in the Kyivskyi district of the city. Fires are currently burning at the strike sites.

“According to information that is still being verified, all hits were in multiple locations within the Kyivskyi district. So far, there have been no reports of casualties. The consequences are currently being assessed on-site,” Terekhov said.

The mayor also noted that enemy combat drones are still heading toward Kharkiv.
