As a result of yesterday’s drone attack, the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) sustained serious damage. The repair process will take several months, RIA Novosti reports.

"As a result of the attack, the facility sustained severe damage: the roof was destroyed, the closed distribution system and the gas turbine unit (GTU) were damaged, cables and the cable overpass were also affected, a water reservoir was hit, two transformers, filters, and the GTU fire suppression system were destroyed," stated Transneft.

It is noted that the damage will take up to two months to repair, which could reduce the volume of oil transported from Kazakhstan by approximately 30%.

Drone attack on Russia

During the full-scale war, Ukraine has regularly targeted Russian oil refineries in order to disrupt logistics and weaken the enemy’s military economy.

Yesterday, Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) attacked the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, which resulted in its shutdown.

Meanwhile, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, explained the strategic importance of the Ilsky Oil Refinery, which was also attacked yesterday.
